Friends and family traveled over 5000 miles to Fabulous Las Vegas to witness Andy & Maria exchange wedding vows on October 23rd, 2009 at Caesar’s Palace. After the ceremony I took the bride & groom on a tour of the strip, visiting a handful of my favorite nooks as well as a few new locations. With Vegas growing so fast I don’t think it will ever be possible to say I’ve shot it all, but I can definately try!! After hitting it hard we headed for Palms Casino Resort, where the entire wedding group had taken over the Island Bar while waiting for us.
We fetched them and proceeded upstairs to the world famous “Party Floor”, a collection of themed fantasy suites. Inspired by the decor of GhostBar, the “g-Suite” was pretty hip. Lots of chrome, lcds in every crevice including the floors. Once I spotted the pool table I knew it was on! It’s one of those shots that you have always wanted to do, and its so satisfying to finally get a chance with a flexible bride & groom and a ridiculously cool location. (image above)
What’s with the cupcakes you say? If you have not yet had a cupcake from the Cupcakery, etc. please join us in 2009 and go try one! Doesn’t matter what flavor, they are all good, and quite the trend at weddings this past year. No complaints here, after so many years of trying wedding cake I just might be caked out.
And finally, there was one gem that deserves mention, and another add to my list of very, very cool and unique wedding ideas. You may have to read this twice, and you most certainly will have to take a few seconds to ponder the possibilities and/or create a visual for yourself: Mashed Potato Martini Station.. Yeah! Lobster, bacon, cheese, etc…. mixed for you and served 007 style.
A special thanks to Lori White for the hair & makeup! If anyone missed the email list that went around, you can be added by sending an email to ron@ronmphoto.com

Dave & Samantha tied the knot on October 17th, 2009 at the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa at Summerlin. Prior to the ceremony I took the bridal party off the beaten path for a photo I had envisioned. While setting it up all I could hear in my mind was ”Don’t fall in, Don’t fall in, please!” Cheers to the bridal party for being flexible, I promise to photoshop any dirt off anyone’s heels if necessary! (image above) After the sunset ceremony friends and family enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and a string quartet on the balcony of the Marriott’s amazing Valencia Ballroom. Guests re-entered the ballroom to the sounds of Spectrum, a famous vocal quartet with the chops to cover any song, from the Platters to the Temptations to Tony Bennett. The party started early with this event, and didn’t lose an ounce of speed until the finale!
Thanks to everyone who traveled from Chicago and Ohio for the event! It was truly beautiful to see a roomful of Buckeyes, Bobcats, and Redhawks party it up! The DJ told me off the record he was a Wolverine, I think I have his address here somewhere.. maybe I can post it later on…
If anyone missed the email list that went around and would like to be added for the final wedding images in 3-4 weeks, just send an email to ron@ronmphoto.com
A special thanks to Memory Lane for the video, Deanna & Rikki for the fabulous hair & makeup, Spectrum, Classical Entertainment for the beautiful string quartet, and DJ Patrick for the work on the mic.

Gabe Gagliardi popped the question to Tiffany Sanders on October 8th, 2009 in Orlando, Florida. After much analyzing and detective work, Tiffany was 100% the proposal would come on Saturday October 10th (and let everyone know so) , so Gabe hatched a masterful plan to surprise her. After sending the girls off to the spa for the afternoon, Gabe and I had just enough time to scout out the proposal location, and scour Epcot for a stand-in ring to use in one of the world’s largest saltwater aquariums. At last we found a massive, gaudy ring that would brave the salty environment and leave no question as to what was happening, or so we thought……
Gabe texted the girls at the spa letting them know there was a last minute opportunity to dive that day, and the trap was set! D brought Tiffany over to The Seas to meet me, we rode the Nemo & Friends Ride, and went up to the observation deck to await the divers. At first we had some trouble spotting Gabe amongst all the divers, until Tiffany exclaimed, “That’s him there! I’d know those sexy legs anywhere!!” Gabe followed last in the long line of divers, slowly approached the chosen location, and dropped to his knee. I slunk back behind the bars and snapped the 1st image above. It took Tiff a bit, but finally after about 15 seconds a lady behind us proclaimed “He’s Proposing!!!!”, and it hit home as a mad rush of people surrounded us.
Sorry about the image quality on these, a massive 1d camera might have been a giveaway for this one!!
Congrats you 2! Have a blast in Italy! And please, please pick a not so humid wedding location =)

Congratulations you 2! On October 1st, 2009 Chad & Janice exchanged vows under a magical evening sky at Emerald at Queensridge in Las Vegas, Nevada. The wedding party executed an epic tour of the city in a stretch limo on the way to the ceremony, visiting all of Las Vegas’ most famous icons. Of course we couldn’t resist stopping at one final location prior to the ceremony, the place where it all started for Chad & Janice, A & W!! The bridal party inhaled a handful of milkshakes and we set off to the venue.
After the candlelight ceremony friends and family enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, cake, an open bar, and a little dancing before exiting to a tunnel of sparklers. 2 limos whisked the entire group back to The Hotel for a VIP afterparty on the top floor at Mix Lounge.
I see a lot of nice touches at weddings, from innovative ideas with decor to fun ways to spice up the first dance, the creativity of the modern bride is amazing! This event we saw a twist on a popular idea, and I thought I would share it with everyone. The bride gave the groom with a special wedding gift… Cufflinks, upon which were mounted 2 images, the groom’s grandfather and a very close friend who had both recently passed. They might not have made the trip, but they were most certainly in attendance for Chad & Janice’s special day.
A special thanks to Megan & Whitney for the flawless hair & makeup (see you at the next one girls!), and the staff at EQ.
