She… A veterinarian from New Orleans who just moved to Las Vegas 3 years ago.

He… A lawyer from California who has lived and practiced in Las Vegas for the past 10 years.

We first met at Crown and Anchor, a down to earth local’s bar.  She loved it for the low-key christmas lights that they used for decoration instead of the bright flashing lights of the strip.  He loved it for the soccer games they aired on their TV’s behind the bar.  

A few drinks, trivia game, and interesting 3 hours later- we knew this was more then a one time meeting.  

We were scheduled to go to Alaska to see the Northern Lights.  Normally, during the solstice (when we were going) it is supposed to be more active.  Unfortunately, the aurora borealis forecast was pretty minimal.  We decided that going to the freezing cold was hard enough, but not to be rewarded with the northern lights, was not a risk we were going to take.  We decided to go on a cruise instead.

We left out of Long Beach and the first stop was Catalina Island.  Geoff planned for us to go geo-caching.  The destination was beautiful; it was overlooking all of the city.  There he got onto one knee and proposed.  We then celebrated at the Wrigley mansion with champagne. 

So the big date is set, but first we should introduce some other very important family!!  Left to right we have:
